Finally, it has come! The Annual apostolic visit to CLSF churches in Canada and the USA has once more begun -- ushering in another two and a half months travel and ministry schedule for Bishop “Kuya” Dan A. Balais, the CLSF Senior Pastor and Spiritual Director, together with his wife and CLSF International Elder, Ate Tanette; and Ate Myrna Fetalvero, the Ministry Administrative Coordinator of CLSF churches in the Northern Hemisphere.
The 2026 Apostolic Visit to Canada and the USA will cover July 1 to September 17 this year, a long period of 2-1/2 months. This apostolic visit will be highlighted by the holding of the Fourth CLSF North American Convention and Prophetic Conference on August 7-10 at Westin Hotel in Calgary, Alberta to be hosted this time by CLSF Calgary which recently has acquired their own church building and sanctuary. Last Sunday, June 28, during the CLSF Central Worship Service in Mandaluyong City, the CLSF International Elders prayed for the Apostolic Team of Kuya Dan, Ate Tanette, and Ate Myrna sending them off with the whole congregation in attendance. Just arriving from a successful and fruitful visit to CLSF Brunei and CLSF Miri in Sarawak, Malaysia in connection with their 35th and 28th Year Anniversaries, respectively, from June 17- 24, Kuya Dan and Ate Tanette finished their significant meetings with the Intercessors for the Philippines (IFP) leadership; the Palawan Bishop and Leaders’ Summit Conveners; Sis. Sharina Gutierrez Team from the USA; and the CLSF GFC-CSO Team for last minute instructions to make up for the more than two months that they will be away in Canada and the USA.
Last July 1, Kuya Dan and the apostolic team flew from NAIA-1 Terminal at the noontime flight to Taipei, Taiwan enroute to Toronto Pearson International Airport. It was a total flight of 17 hours with a 4-hour lay-over in Taipei International Airport via Eva Air. Kuya Dan, Ate Tanette, and Ate Myrna, all in their early 70s, have to endure the long vigorous flight halfway around the world just to minister to CLSF churches in the vast continent of North America. After the long flight, they arrived at Toronto Pearson at 9:30 pm, warmly welcomed by our CLSF Mississauga pastors and leaders namely: Ate Liza Serrano; Kuya Gil Palero; Kuya Philip and Ate Mila Esguerra; Kuya Noli Manuel, Tatay Roco; and Youth leaders Kuya David and Deni Palero and Justine Charles de Leon. Coming out of the terminal by 10:30 pm, Kuya Dan and the team were treated to a sumptuous warm dinner at Tremendous Chinese Restaurant in Mississauga. Afterwards, by past 1:00 am, they were driven by Tatay Roco and Justine Charles to Markham, Ontario to the house of Kuya Ed and Ate Vel Padua, and their daughter Karen. Ate Vel is the older sister of Ate Tanette who is a retired nurse; while Kuya Ed, her husband, is a retired civil engineering draftsman/ designer. They had immigrated to Canada more than 40 years ago.
Officially, it was their 24th year of such apostolic visit to Canada and the USA to encourage and strengthen CLSF churches in the Northern Hemisphere. The initial result of these visits 24 years ago founded the CLSF Canada triplets namely: CLSF Mississauga, CLSF Windsor in Ontario Province; and CLSF Calgary in Alberta Province who are all celebrating their 24th year anniversaries this year.
Consequently, CLSF churches in the USA were al so born namely: CLSF Reno in the State of Nevada; and CLSF Oxnard, otherwise known as Christ, the Rock of Salvation Fellowship (CRSF) in the State of California. CLSF Reno is marking their 20th year of existence while CRSF is celebrating more than 21 years in the ministry. CLSF Mississauga is being pastored by Ate Liza Serrano, Kuya Gil Palero and Kuya Philip Esguerra; CLSF Windsor Family of churches is being pastored by Kuya Arnel and his wife, Ate Edwina Deogracias; while CLSF Calgary is being pastored by Kuya Eugene and Ate Laila Arizala. Kuya Francis Domingo, a CLSF International Elder, and his wife, Ate Beth act as International Overseers of CLSF Canada churches. In the USA side, CLSF Reno, Nevada is being pastored by Kuya Tony and Ate Beth Damasco; CRSF Oxnard is being pastored by Kuya Jun and Ate Vangie Cachin; while CLSF Long Beach is being pastored by Ate Ciely Sta. Maria Nation.
Today, these ministries to Canada have blossomed to more than 13 churches namely: CLSF Mississauga, CLSF Windsor, CLSF Leamington, CLSF Paisely, CLSF Tillsonburg, CLSF Dutton and CLSF Chatham, in the Province of Ontario; CLSF Calgary; CLSF Grande Prairie in the Province of Alberta; CLSF Vancouver and CLSF Whistler, in the Province of British Columbia; CLSF Winnipeg, in the Province of Manitoba; and the most recent one, CLSF Regina, in the Province of Saskatchewan. The CLSF Ministries in the USA have also multiplied namely: CLSF Reno, in the State of Nevada; CRSF Oxnard, CLSF Long Beach, in the State of California; and CLSF West Virginia State. In Canada, as an offshoot of the three ground breaking CLSF North American Convention and Prophetic Conference (NAC 1, NAC 2, and NAC 3), Vision 10/3 was born and launched in NAC-3 held at Delta Hotels in Winnipeg, Manitoba, the Geographical Center of Canada. Vision 10/3 was about planting CLSF churches in Canada’s 10 Provinces and 3 Territories within the next 10 years from its launching in October 2024 in Winnipeg. One Province in Canada is equivalent to three or four States in the USA. The scriptural basis was Luke 10:3 when the Lord Jesus intentionally sent the 70 disciples to the cities and villages that He Himself would go, commissioning them saying: “Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves” (Luk 10:3). Today, CLSF has a ministry in five Provinces or 50% of the vision. Our goal is also to plant churches in the three territories of Canada. The 10 Canadian provinces are Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, and Saskatchewan. The 3 Canadian territories are Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and Yukon.
Kuya Dan, Ate Tanette, and Ate Myrna are looking forward for another fruitful ministry trip!
